This fine jade urn of a lovely spinach color running to a deep yellow is carved to resemble a pair of Buddhist lions or mythical beasts conjoined back to back resting upon clawed feet. The body of the urn is covered in a single low relief Archaistic Toa Tie mask so constructed as to resemble modified wings and volutes consistent with many Chinese artistic elements found in jade carvings
